Cold Drawn Lama

What is Cold Drawn Lama Iron?

The process of drawing hot drawn iron billets by reprocessing is called cold drawing. The purpose of the cold drawing process is durability, strength, flexibility and a smooth outer surface.

Cold Drawn Flat Iron is the strongest and most durable iron in the market, especially the main carrier and cornerstone of steel constructions. Usage areas, one of the main purposes of the product used in steel construction structures and automotive structures is to strengthen the supports of the structures, to strengthen the bond between two profiles or between the floor and the ceiling. Hot drawing is obtained as a result of drawing the irons to which the cold drawing procedure is applied, by passing them through different procedures. While hot drawings are turned into hot rolled flats, it is aimed to have more durable, flexible and smooth outer surfaces in terms of structure. Hot blades are hot rolled flat material in long rectangular sections. It is possible to use as a basic reinforcement in hot llamas, construction and similar structures, and also for decorative purposes in railing iron joinery.

Cold Drawn Flat Bar Procedures

Surface cleaning procedure:

This procedure is applied as the first step to remove unwanted bark and burrs on the surface of hot rolled logs. The surface is smoothed by spraying high pressure iron granules on the surface.

Towing procedure:

After the first stage, the slabs whose surfaces are cleaned are prepared to be drawn in the desired caliber. For this, the material is deposited on the draft beds and their surfaces are coated with a lubricant. Desired size molds are placed. The logs are drawn from the head to the end and pass through the molds.

Straightening procedure:

The strength of the cold drawn material coming out of the drawing procedure is provided by the straightening procedure by passing it between the rolls and presses. Round materials are additionally polished.

Cutting procedure:

At this stage, the cold drawn material is cut to the desired length and dimensioned.

Normalized, heating procedures:

One of the procedures applied to increase the properties of cold drawn material is renormalization and heating of the material. During this procedure, the outer surface of the material is not affected, it remains the same smoothness. Only the strength of the material increases, the degree of inclination increases.

Quality control procedure:

The material leaving the production goes through inspection and control. The aim is the highest quality production and customer satisfaction.
